Objective

Get a higher ranked poker hand than the dealer. Alternative win condition The dealer does not qualify.

Betting Structure

Game Progression

The player first posts the ante for the hand to begin, and then the player is dealt five cards. The dealer's first card is dealt open, so the player may use this knowledge to gauge his odds of winning and choose whether or not to bet. If the player bets, the remaining of the dealer's cards are dealt. If the dealer does not receive at least an Ace and King, the hand does not qualify and the dealer folds, regardless of the player's cards. In this case, the dealer pays the player only for the ante, but not for the bet. If the dealer has at least an Ace and King, then the hand qualifies and the game progresses to a showdown. If the player has the stronger hand, he is paid 1 to 1 on both the ante and bet, but if the dealer's hand is stronger, then the player loses both his ante and bet.

Special Payouts

In the case that the dealer's hand qualifies and the game progresses to a showdown, the player stands to receive higher payouts if he wins with 2 pairs or higher. For the rates of special payout, you may refer to the pay table on the Caribbean stud game.

Jackpot

Before the start of a hand, a player may choose to post a jackpot bet on the side. This bet is used to fund a jackpot prize on the Caribbean stud table, and the jackpot pays out if a player is dealt a flush or higher.
